Living with Disabilities

Would you like to be more independent? Direct your in-home services? Have control over your schedule? The Personal Care Management (PCM) program may help you reach your goals. This MassHealth funded program enables people with disabilities to hire their own Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to provide assistance with mobility, toileting, bathing and other activities. OCES helps those with disabilities

Within the Home Care program, you can choose the option of Consumer Directed Care (CDC) which is similar to the PCM program where you select your own hands-on worker. Or you can choose an OCES care manager who will help develop your care plan and coordinate services for you.

If you would prefer shared living in the comfort of your own home or a caregiver’s home, the Adult Family Care (AFC) program may be right for you. AFC offers a sensitive and economical alternative for people who are faced with the prospect of no longer being able to manage alone.
