Options Counseling

Options Counseling is a free service to those in need
Our goal is to present needed information to elders and individuals with disabilities so they can make informed decisions about long-term care. Options Counseling is a free service that provides unbiased information about long-term services and supports including community-based options. Our consumer-driven approach ensures individual choice and control.
Imagine… you become ill and cannot return home… what would you do? What are your options?

OCES Kicks Off Annual Fundraiser November 1st
“This is the first time in my 60 years on earth I’ve needed help. OCES was like Angels from Heaven. There is no possible way I could have made it through the winter without OCES. Thank you so very, very much.”
OCES’ Emergency Fund helps meet the needs of at-risk, low-income elders and individuals with disabilities who are in crisis or emergency circumstances that threaten their health and/or living situation. Just during the last 3 years, OCES assisted more than 900 individuals with necessities such as fuel, utility bills, and medical transportation.
To continue supporting these efforts, OCES will be selling raffle tickets beginning in November 2012. Each ticket yields the chance to win daily money prizes during the month of February 2013. You can help us make a difference for someone in need! Please call OCES at 508-584-1561 to purchase your raffle tickets. You can help heat a home for just $5.00 a ticket.
Thank You Tufts Health Foundation!
OCES recently received $6,054 from the Tufts Health Foundation to continue our “It’s About Time” workshop series offered free to caregivers. Caregivers learn techniques to remain physically and emotionally healthy while providing essential care to loved ones.
Thanks to you we raised $2,576 during the 36-hour Giving Common Challenge! Overall, 6,904 donations totaling $1,074,361 were made to more than 500 participating nonprofit organizations.
