#GivingTuesday

Dear Friend,

What’s your reason for giving…is it to help others in need?

Your help will provide such things as heat in the winter, food, and life-sustaining medications to older adults and people with disabilities.

OCES’ Emergency Funds program helps meet the needs of low income older adults and individuals with disabilities who are at risk in a crisis or emergency circumstance that threatens their health and/or living situation. All too frequently, these individuals encounter problems that can jeopardize their ability to maintain independence, dignity and well-being.

With rising costs and limited incomes, the number of older adults and individuals with disabilities requesting assistance continually increases.

On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, OCES is participating in #GivingTuesday to raise funds for the Emergency Funds program.

#GivingTuesday started with a simple idea: be a counterpoint to the consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. From a few hundred nonprofits in 2012 to 10,000+ organizations participating in 2014, #GivingTuesday is now an international day of giving around the world.

We invite you to help to make a difference by providing assistance to these people who need a little support in order to remain living healthy, safely and independently in the community.

You can help heat a home or purchase food or prescriptions by visiting our web site www.ocesma.org to make a donation on or before December 1 (but if you can’t make a donation on the 1st, you will have all December to give).

Thank you for your support!
