This year, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, OCES will again participate in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving. We ask for your support.

Your contribution will help OCES provide critical program support to our community. Please donate by going to www.ocesma.org.

OCES asks that you join us so we can raise money for our Emergency Funds program. This program helps meet the needs of at-risk low income older adults and individuals with disabilities in a crisis or emergency circumstance that threatens either their health and/or living situation. All too frequently, these individuals encounter problems that can jeopardize their ability to maintain independence, dignity and well-being.

Like Frank, who was down to 5 gallons of propane in January. Or Michelle, always careful about her money as she usually can manage on a fixed income, but was hit with an unexpected furnace repair bill in February. Or John, who tried to get by until his next Social Security payment, but when he ran out of oil he needed a delivery for his tank and a prime for his furnace in December.

Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, increased volunteer hours, and inspirational activities that bring about real change in communities. We invite you to join the campaign and give this November 29th.

OCES is also participating in the Amazon SMILE program. Any time during the year, if online shoppers access that site via smile.amazon.com, they can choose OCES from the drop-down list of participating nonprofits and a percentage of the purchase price of each item is automatically donated to us.

Your generosity on #GivingTuesday—or any time during the year—will help provide necessities such as these—heat in the winter, food, and life-sustaining medications—to resilient and independent older adults and people with disabilities.
