Old Colony Elder Services CEO Honored with “40 Under 40 Award”

Nicole M. Long, Chief Executive Officer of Old Colony Elder Services (OCES), the non-profit agency proudly serving older adults and individuals with disabilities throughout greater Plymouth County, has been honored as one of the 2019 winners of Cape & Plymouth Business’ 40 Under 40 Awards.

On June 27, 2019, at the 40 Under 40 Awards celebration held at the Cape Codder Resort & Spa in Hyannis, MA, Long was honored among other distinguished young professionals who have made a mark in the region at an extraordinarily young age. Cape & Plymouth Business presented Long as one of the 2019 award winners for excelling in her industry and showing dynamic leadership characteristics.

Long began her career at OCES in 2005. She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Bridgewater State University and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). She also serves as a Commissioner on the Board of Directors for the Plymouth Housing Authority and is an Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapist at Wildhearts Therapeutic Equestrian Program in West Bridgewater.  In her role as CEO, Long’s primary focus is to maintain and grow both community and funding relationships.

“Nicole’s dedication to our mission and passion for serving the community truly set her apart,” said Diana DiGiorgi, Chief Operating Officer at OCES. “Congratulations Nicole on this well-deserved recognition!” OCES Board President Nancy Hill stated, “I was inspired by the talent and ambition of all the honorees.  They are leaders truly dedicated to creating a better future for the Plymouth and Cape Cod communities”
