Caregiver Support
Whether you are caring for an adult with a chronic condition or a disability, or are raising grandchildren, OCES has many ways to support you.
OCES provides multiple programs for home-based care for people who need assistance. Services include personal care, homemaking, grocery shopping, laundry, companionship and more. Accessing these services can alleviate some of the stress of caregiving by letting others do some of the work.
With Meals on Wheels (MOW), your loved one can receive a nutritious meal at home 5 days a week and also can receive a supply of emergency meals to have on hand.
OCES housing options can enable your loved one to live independently in a safe, supportive environment.
The Family Caregiver Support Program (FCSP) can empower you as a caregiver by giving you available resources to help with caregiving including not only OCES programs but other resources in the community as well. FCSP will also assist you in developing a self-care plan.

OCES programs increase the possibility that older adults and individuals with disabilities may remain living in the environment they choose and that caregivers will be able to retain their health while caregiving.
